MILWAUKEE (AP) — Dairy manufacturers and suppliers from around the world are gathering in Milwaukee this week for the International Cheese Technology Exposition.
The event starts Tuesday and ends Thursday in downtown Milwaukee.
It's the largest gathering devoted to the multi-billion dollar market of cheese and related dairy products. More than 240 companies will be exhibiting.
The topics include technological challenges of yeasts, molds and whey, the future of the cheese industry, dairy policy reform, the global cheese market and using waste as energy.
VISIT Milwaukee estimates the economic impact of the event at $1 million.
