Gaia Enterprises, Inc. announces its new product, Traction Magic, that provides instant traction for feet and tires on the ice. It works faster than salt or ice melt and better than sand or kitty litter, and it won’t damage concrete or harm pets or yard. It turns slippery ice into a surface that feels kind of like rough sandpaper. Traction Magic is also non-corrosive, 100 percent environmentally friendly and animal safe. It will not harm any grass, plants, metal or even new concrete and is perfect to use around machinery or vehicles. Traction Magic complies with OSHA standards for non-slip surfaces.

Traction Magic works in two ways:

  • First, it absorbs moisture. There is always a thin layer of water on top of ice, this is the initial reason why ice is slippery. With the introduction of foot or vehicle traffic there is a dramatic increase in the water layer through pressure melting. This then accelerates the slippage potential, which is why people and vehicles slip and slide. Traction Magic sucks up that water.
  • Second, it grips the ice. The tiny particles in Traction Magic literally grab onto the ice to create a sandpaper-like feel the instant it is applied. This is what creates the traction for your feet or vehicle. Traction Magic floats on the surface of the melting ice so that it is safe to travel until that patch of ice is gone.
