Wintriss Controls Group LLC (Acton, MA) has introduced its line of Shadow 10 Light Curtains with a host of new and enhanced safety and productivity features.
With the Shadow 10, users can connect up to four sets of heads to one Shadow 10 control box or Wintriss WPC APEX press control, protecting an entire press with one light curtain system. In addition, all heads are uniquely programmed and managed, enabling easy troubleshooting and fault diagnosis. The Shadow 10 also has advanced blanking features with two additional floating beams and a blanking tolerance that allows a blanked object such as a conveyor or chute, to move within a set boundary of up to +3/-1 beams.
Also, a new floating mode when programmed can allow small objects to move within the sensing field without triggering lock-out.
Shadow 10 protection heights have also expanded to cover heights from 12” to 60”, with highly adjustable brackets are easy to install and reorient up to 360 degrees.
The Shadow 10 features increased resolution at 22mm, allowing the light curtain to be placed closer to the work area. Shadow 10 curtains also feature LEDs to aid in alignment and indicate which beams are blocked., as well as a 7-Segment Display with a diagnostic code read-out that displays a fault code when a light curtain triggers lock-out, identifying the reason and the affected curtain.
