E2S has developed the Spectra beacon in 3 sizes and 6 lens colors, with your choice of static, flashing-filament, Xenon-strobe, rotating or LED versions. Manufactured from ultraviolet-stabilized polycarbonate, Spectra beacons do not fade when exposed to direct sunlight and are protected to IP65, making them suitable for outdoor applications. More specifically, according to the company:
- The LED beacon lengthens operational life and lowers total life costs when compared to a traditional filament lamp, an important consideration for continuous-use applications, or where access or maintenance is difficult.
- The low-voltage DC LED beacon comes with 9 user-selectable modes, including continuous, flashing, rotating, double-strike and alternate-side flash modes, and up to 3 stages of alarm using the appropriate wiring connections.
- The B300 beacon incorporates a dual-frequency option in which a flash rate of 1 or 2 Hz can be selected remotely through a wiring configuration to provide 2 stages of warning.
- B300 and B400 Xenon-strobe beacons are optionally available in synchronized versions, so that all devices on the same power supply circuit can flash in unison, a particular benefit in fire alarm applications.
