According to Kardex Remstar, its dynamic storage systems can solve warehouse overcrowding by incorporating vertical storage technology, such as vertical lift modules or vertical carousels, for true floor-to-ceiling storage, thus maximizing warehouse space. An overcrowded warehouse makes doing business difficult, and can have a serious negative impact on an organization’s productivity, ergonomics, accuracy, warehousing costs and inventory control. The company says that its solutions, however, can deliver:
- The ability to recover up to 85 percent of occupied floor space and eliminate warehouse overcrowding when replacing standard shelving with vertical storage technologies.
- Elimination of the need for offsite storage facilities, additional warehouses and parking lot storage containers, reducing overall storage and material-handling costs.
