Mislabeled Lasagna Recalled

Windsor Foods said Friday it is recalling Safeway Five Select Cheese Lasagna because of the potential that some packages were mislabeled and may actually contain meat as well as soy and egg allergens.

NEW YORK (AP) — Windsor Foods said Friday it is recalling Safeway Five Select Cheese Lasagna because of the potential that some packages were mislabeled and may actually contain meat as well as soy and egg allergens.

The lasagna may have been mislabeled and may actually be Safeway Select Meat Lasagna, which contains those allergens. People who do not have a soy or egg allergy or sensitivity can eat the product without concern, the company said.

The lasagna was sold at Safeway, Carrs, Dominicks, Genuardi's, Pak 'N Save, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Randalls and Vons stores. It was sold in 19 states, including Alaska.

All of the labels say the product is best before April 4, 2013.

Consumers can return the lasagna to the store it was sold for a refund..
