The METTLER TOLEDO PCE (PharmaControl Electronic) 360° Inspection Station is a modular all-in-one solution designed 
to inspect the quality of packaging of cylindrical pharmaceutical products such as bottles and vials. This includes verification of imprints such as product, batch or serial numbers as both plain text and/or 2D matrix codes. By preventing coding mix-ups during production, the PCE 360º ensures the reliability of future traceability. The system also provides inspection for the presence and integrity of aluminum seals and sealing plugs that ensures the security of the package, guarding against both product spills and contamination of the package contents. To comply with Track & Trace guidelines, the system scans the complete surface of the un-oriented bottle in motion on the production line, using an array of multiple cameras. Depending on specific requirements, additional cameras can be added to read from above or below the package to analyze relevant visible or UV ink codes. The 360° Inspection is fully integrated into the line operation and the facility’s administration control system.
