Anheuser-Busch InBev plans to acquire the maker of SpikedSeltzer and add the fast-growing company to its craft beer division.

The beer giant will purchase 100 percent of the equity of Boathouse Beverage, its co-founders told Brewbound.

SpikedSeltzer, which was founded in 2013 and is currently distributed in 14 states, offers seltzer in four flavors — cranberry, orange, lime and grapefruit — and at 6 percent alcohol by volume.

“We were running this with our own resources and realized that if we wanted to grow and meet the demand, we were best served in finding a partner that would help us,” co-founder Dave Holmes told the publication.

Boathouse will add hard soda to AB InBev's The High End division, which also includes two AB InBev brands, eight craft brewers and Virtue Cider. SpikedSeltzer will be produced at AB's brewery in Baldwinsville, N.Y.

Large brewers continue to add craft brands, flavored beers and hard sodas in an effort to combat a stagnant U.S. beer market.
