Brunswick Selling Sealine Brand

Boat and recreational products maker said Wednesday that it has sold its UK-based Sealine brand of boats to The Oxford Investment Group.

LAKE FOREST, Illinois (AP) -- Boat and recreational products maker Brunswick Corp. said Wednesday that it has sold its United Kingdom-based Sealine brand of boats to The Oxford Investment Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Brunswick, based in Lake Forest, Illinois, said the move was part of a plan to refine its product portfolio and concentrate resources.

"A primary goal at Brunswick going forward is to better exploit our opportunities for organic growth and to gain share in the marketplace," Chairman and CEO Dustan E. McCoy said in a statement. "For the past several years, we have been steadily transforming our operating model and business structure to be more consistent with the changing marine market."

Brunswick products include Mercury and Mariner outboard engines, Life Fitness and Hammer Strength fitness equipment and Brunswick billiards and foosball tables.
