Pilz (Canton, MI) introduced the PSENopt II Advanced for industrial automation and material handling safety. The safety light curtain is designed for providing dual OSSD and IO-Link Safety modes, safe single-beam evaluation, customizable protected fields and high shock resistance up to 50 g.
Features:
- Combines standard OSSD operation with IO-Link Safety connectivity to transmit live operational and safe single-beam data for each individual beam
- Enables detection of protected field interruptions through object measurement to safeguard complex material transport with varying object sizes, positions and speeds
- Supports muting (including partial muting), blanking (including floating blanking), reduced resolution and customized zone configurations to maintain smooth material flows
- Built with shock and impact resistance up to 50 g to guarantee reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions
- Pairs with PSENopt II Configurator, using live beam data to simplify beam alignment, speed up commissioning and provide advanced diagnostics to reduce downtime
