The Manufacturing Day mission is to “addresses common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t.”
The first National Manufacturing Day was held in 2011, and since has grown to more than 2,500 events being held this year in conjunction with the day. Before celebrating this year's Manufacturing Day on Friday, Oct. 6, check out this infographic about how the event, and participation, has grown over the years.
