UBM Canon has prepared for attendees of the Design & Manufacturing Midwest tradeshow, to be held September 10-12 in Chicago, a number of informational sessions with industry leaders. Jim Carroll, author and futurist, will be speaking on What Do World Class Innovators Do That Others Don't Do? at the new Tech Theater, which will also feature more than a dozen industry experts talking in detail about a variety of topics, such as finding solutions to the skilled labor gap, telepresence robots, details on metal injection molding, a tablet “teardown” and more.

One of the major events will be Susan York, of Stratasys, offering a presentation on 3D Printing 101, with a live demo of the technology. The company is one of the leaders in additive manufacturing, and considering the technology will become an essential component to many operations in the near future, it’s a don’t-miss event.
