NEW YORK (AP) — Gap Inc. has named Sonia Syngal, who led the retail chain's supply network, as president of Old Navy.
Syngal fills the spot that became open when Stefan Larsson left last November to become CEO of Ralph Lauren Corp. Larsson had transformed Old Navy into a powerhouse business but recently the chain has stumbled.
The move comes at a critical time for San Francisco-based Gap, which is undergoing a transformation under its CEO Art Peck, who took the helm last February.
