JPMorgan Chase & Co., up $2.51 to $61.79

The largest bank in the U.S. reported a better-than-expected profit and revenue in the first quarter.

McCormick & Co., down $2.18 to $96.72

The spice and herb seller gave up on an effort to buy Britain's Premier Foods.

Delphi Automotive PLC, up $4.07 to $76.42

The auto parts supplier said the IRS agreed some of its businesses shouldn't be taxed at higher U.S. rates.

Verizon Communications Inc., down 66 cents to $51.29

About 39,000 Verizon landline and cable workers went on strike eight months after the company's contract with their unions expired.

Clorox Co., down $2.03 to $126.14

Consumer goods companies fell after the Commerce Department said U.S. retail sales decreased in March.

CSX Corp., up $1.04 to $26.03

The railroad operator's profit was larger than investors expected as costs for fuel and other spending came down.

Titan Machinery Inc., down 6 cents to $11.44

The agriculture and construction equipment company took a smaller first-quarter loss than analysts expected.

Medivation Inc., up $3.64 to $49.37

Reports said French drugmaker Sanofi is interested in buying the cancer drug maker.
