RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) — An Israel-based manufacturer of aluminum parts for the automotive industry has announced plans to open its first North American production facility in eastern Indiana.

Omen USA, a subsidiary of Omen Casting Group, says it plans to begin operations in Richmond by the end of this year and to create up to 100 jobs by 2019. The company announced plans Tuesday to initially invest $16 million to renovate and equip a 76,000-square-foot facility and to invest an additional $7 million by 2021.

The die-casting company will manufacture aluminum parts for drivelines, steering components and oil pumps at the facility.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Omen USA up to $400,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $150,000 in training grants.
