HOUSTON (AP) — Magnum Hunter Resources Corp. says that it lost control of a natural gas well in Ohio over the weekend.

The well located in Monroe County had been temporarily plugged while work was being done elsewhere onsite. But when workers tried to resume production operations Saturday afternoon, the well began to flow uncontrollably.

The Houston-based oil and natural gas company said Monday that it has contacted all necessary regulators and evacuated field personnel and residents in the immediate area. No injuries have been reported.

It said a specialized company is on site and preparing for efforts to bring the well under control.

Shares of Houston-based Magnum Hunter fell 14 percent to $2.86 in late afternoon trading.
