A faulty exhaust header pipe is to blame for a recent recall of several utility vehicles that pose fire and burn hazards.
The recall involves the Gravely Atlas JSV 3000 and 6000 gas-engine-powered utility vehicles, manufactured by Polaris in 2015-2018. Vehicles were sold in red, have a rear box and have one or two rows of seats. “Atlas” is printed on the hood and “Gravely” is on the rear box. An estimated 2,100 vehicles are affected by the recall.
The vehicles were sold nationwide at Gravely dealers from Sept. 2014 through July 2018. If the exhaust system begins to get noisier, customers should immediately stop using the vehicle.
