NORTH HAVERHILL, N.H. (AP) — The USDA says a New Hampshire farm business in North Haverhill is recalling about 15 pounds of lamb that may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.

The department's Food Safety and Inspection Service says the PT Farm lamb products, a neck and one leg, were derived from a carcass produced on Sept. 6. They were shipped to a store in Somerville, Massachusetts, which sold them on Sept. 7. The possible contamination problem was discovered that day following an E. coli positive water supply sample and "water boil" notice in North Haverhill.

The inspection service and the company are concerned that some of the product may be in consumers' freezers. Consumers are urged not to eat them, but throw them away or return them.
