Mann & Hummell Plans 150 Jobs In SE Tenn.

The filtration products maker said its $15 million investment in Dunlap will slowly add those jobs through 2013.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Filtration products maker Mann & Hummell USA Inc. plans to locate its southern production facility in southeastern Tennessee and officials said the $15 million investment will create about 150 jobs in Dunlap by the end of 2013.

Gov. Bill Haslam, Tennessee Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty, Sequatchie County and Dunlap officials joined in making the announcement in a statement Wednesday.

Portage-Mich.-based Mann & Hummell USA designs and produces air intake manifolds, air cleaner systems and fluid reservoirs for automotive and other industrial markets.

The company is a subsidiary of the Ludwigsburg, Germany-based Mann & Hummell Group.

Mann & Hummell USA spokesman David Gordon said Wednesday the company will not comment until the transaction is completed, likely before the end of the year.
