Tyson Foods announced last week that it plans to eliminate its use of high fructose corn syrup and several additional ingredients in its U.S. product lineup by the end of the year.
The company also intends to halt its use of sucralose, BHA/BHT and titanium dioxide in the U.S. across its brands, which include the Tyson label as well as Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, State Fair and others.
The Arkansas-based poultry giant noted that it removed petroleum-based synthetic dyes from its domestic lineup earlier this year.
“We continuously review and assess our product portfolio to ensure the highest quality products that meet the needs of consumers,” Tyson President and CEO Donnie King said in a statement. “Our decision to remove high fructose corn syrup and other ingredients reflects our ongoing commitment to feeding the world like family.”
