Andrew Ng, of Stanford University, has long been trying to solve the complex problem of enabling robots to complement human life. According to him, robots have all the mechanical aptitude needed for any task currently done by a human — and at times, with more efficiency — but they fail when it comes to software. The same goes for industrial environments as well. Fortunately, researchers are using new techniques, known as machine learning, to better help robots adapt to the tasks they’re asked to do.
