FLIR Systems (Billerica, MA) has unveiled the FLIR i7 thermal imaging camera, which couples RESNET-compliant 120x120 pixel infrared resolution with 2 percent accuracy and 0.1°C sensitivity. Designed for electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and energy-audit problems, the FLIR i7 reveals abnormal temperature readings with crisp images on a 2.8” high-resolution color LCD. Three measurement modes are available: spot (center), area (minimum/maximum), and isotherm (above/below). Up to 5,000 images can be stored on the MicroSD card, which can be viewed on the i7’s LCD screen, or transferred to a PC. Other features include:

  • A weight less than 12 ounces.
  • A 4-hour battery life.
  • Included microSD card, Li-Ion rechargeable battery, and hard case.
