Toshiba Teli America, Inc. (Irvine, CA) has launched the CSDS60CM3, the company’s first high-definition color camera to target the industrial vision marketplace. With high picture quality and smearless imaging, the camera is ideal for industrial facilities requiring machine vision. The HD camera incorporates a 1/3” CMOS progressive scan color sensor with user-selectable resolutions of either 1280 x 1024 or 1280 x 720 at a maximum frame rate of 60 fps. Backside illumination (BSI) technology helps boost light sensitivity and absorption. In addition, compact dimensions (44mm x 29mm x 78mm) and its one-piece design allows for successful integration of the camera in existing systems, or replacing lower-resolution vision systems.
