Online Development (Knoxville, TN) recently released its new New cATM Universal Gateway data appliance, designed to connect 50 brands of factory floor controllers with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix PACs. According to the company, it’s an easy method to connect dissimilar installed controllers without the time and expense of developing custom programmed data bridges. The module features a GUI setup utility that automatically recognizes controller data. It also includes intuitive menus, drag-and-drop operation, and pull-down screens to select and configure data between controllers. A universal driver is included to connect to Ethernet and serial devices. All drivers are supplied with the module at no additional charge.
