Smart Pass-Through™ with Recirculating HEPA Filtration from Terra Universal
Fullerton, CA – Pass-through chambers save time and money by allowing clean transfer of materials between rooms of different cleanliness ratings; personnel can avoid the gowning process. Terra’s Smart pass-through chamber with recirculating HEPA filtration removes particles from objects prior to introduction into the clean environment.
A timer controls the filtration cycle. The HEPA fan/filter unit cleanses the air flowing down upon chamber contents sitting on a perforated surface, and then directs the clean air around and back down through the filter. This design prevents contaminated air from washing down on top of sensitive materials, and particles from entering the cleanroom from the “dirty” side. Plenums along the bottom, side and top accommodate the volume of air within the chamber.
A Magnehelic® gauge displays the pressure differential to ensure positive pressure inside the pass-through. The FFU uses a brushless DC motor for efficiency and cleanliness, and the pass-through chamber is flush-mounted to the wall on the “clean” side to reduce surfaces where particles may accumulate.
