According to Tuthill Vacuum & Blower Systems, its KDS425 vertical-flow, dry screw vacuum pump is the first to be designed and manufactured in the U.S. The top-down vertical flow design results in gravity aiding continued movement of particulates and condensate to the exhaust of the pump, isolating it from the rotor chamber.
