Wherever demanding industrial high temperature processes up to 226°F (130°C) boil ordinary liquid analyzer sensors, plant engineers will find that the hardened design of the S80-T80 pH Analyzer from Electro-Chemical Devices (ECD) delivers accurate measurement from 0.00 to 14.00 pH.
Designed for the most difficult industrial applications, the S80-T80 pH Analyzer combines rugged construction with intelligent sensing. The S80 pH Sensor is available in a special materials configuration, which features a two-tine polyether ether ketone (PEEK) body, multiple-junction reference and uniquely ruggedized industrial-grade pH glass.
With a semi-crystalline thermoplastic structure, PEEK polymer body materials offer excellent physical properties under high temperature exposure and chemical exposure. The long-life ECD S80 pH electrode cartridge is easily replaceable to reduce the cost of maintenance without having to replace the complete sensor.
The high temperature configuration S80 pH Sensor with PEEK body materials is also suitable for use in highly aggressive solvents, oxidizing solutions, acids and bases. Typical applications include chemical separations and solvent recovery in both the chemical process and pharmaceutical industries, along with chlorine production, flotation in mining ore mineral recovery, electroplating, glass or other material etching and more.

Accurate pH measurement with the S80 Sensor helps plants reduce the use of caustic chemicals and solutions to the minimum necessary for effective process management. Reducing the use of such chemicals to the extent possible protects valuable plant equipment and thus reduces maintenance/replacement cycles, while also limiting the potential environmental impact of such operations.
The S80 pH Sensors convert analog signals from their electrode cartridges into a digital protocol that allows two way communications with the S80 Transmitter. The identity of the sensor, measurement type and serial number are all stored in the sensor’s memory along with three calibration registers.
ECD’s versatile S80 pH Sensors come in immersion or insertion package configurations that are designed with a 0.75-inch MNPT compression fitting as the process connection. This design employs a variable insertion length to accommodate installation in pipe tees, flow cells or through tank walls. The retractable configuration is designed with a 1-inch MNPT ball valve, a 1-x-0.75 inch reducer and a 0.75 inch MNPT compression fitting to provide the process connection.
The highly intelligent T80 Transmitter is a universal device available with single or dual channels designed for the continuous measurement of pH, ORP, pION, Dissolved Oxygen, Turbidity, Conductivity or Resistivity in a general purpose industrial environment. The Model T80 transmitter digitally communicates with any ECD S80 Intelligent Sensor, automatically configuring the transmitter’s menus and display screens to the measured parameter.
