Fullerton, CA – Efficient design makes the Biometra TOne smaller than most thermal cyclers. Manufactured by Analytik Jena, the benchtop instrument is now available on Laboratory-Equipment's website. It features the High-Performance Smart Lid that rests on 96-well plates, of varying shapes and heights, with just enough constant pressure to ensure temperature uniformity and condensation control. Fast heating and cooling rates help decrease run times, and Biometra TOne achieves exacting target degrees for reproducible results. The thermal cycler is used for PCR or other molecular biology applications.
Program the on-board software to process runs, save methods and monitor status using the large seven-inch touchscreen. Temperature intervals are entered using the software's Linear Gradient Tool; individual microplate rows are heated to user-defined primer annealing points. Biometra TOne's Whisper Quiet air flow generates a comfortable noise level of no more than 45 decibels.
Sample blocks feature an alloy coating that protect them from corrosion, as well as a seal that prevents condensation from contacting, and damaging, instrument components. The spring-action lid is opened by a push- button, providing full access to the sample plate.
