AMES, Iowa (AP) _ Renewable Energy Group Inc. (REGI) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $20.2 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Ames, Iowa-based company said it had profit of 51 cents. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to 79 cents per share.
The biodiesel producer posted revenue of $560.4 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported net income of $43.5 million, or $1.06 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $2.04 billion.
Renewable Energy Group shares have declined 7 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $9, a rise of slightly more than 7 percent in the last 12 months.
