Whole Foods Market Inc., down $1.60 to $30.92

Regulators said there are "serious violations" at a kitchen in Massachusetts that may have resulted in contaminated food.

Freeport-McMoRan Inc., up 79 cents to $11

The price of copper jumped about 2 percent on Wednesday, giving metals companies a lift.

PVH Corp., up $3 to $97.38

The owner of the Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands gave a presentation that pleased investors.

Bob Evans Farms Inc., down $4.05 to $40.69

The restaurant chain forecast a smaller annual profit than investors were expecting.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., up 26 cents to $42.94

The bedding retailer said it will buy home decor company One Kings Lane.

Patriot National Inc., up $1.83 to $8.75

Insurance software company Ebix agreed to buy Patriot National, which provides services to workers' compensation insurers, for about $254.9 million.

Dynegy Inc., down 72 cents to $16.13

The power company said it will buy Energy Capital Partners' stake in a joint venture between the companies.

Progressive Corp., down 34 cents to $31.75

The insurance company said its profit fell last month compared to the previous year.
