BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The maker of MAC industrial heaters has let go of most of its Bismarck workforce and is closing the facility there this summer.

The Bismarck Tribune (https://bit.ly/1XtOatL ) reports 50 employees were laid off Feb. 17, with the remaining 23 employees at the Bismarck plant losing their positions between now and July 29.

MAC Inc. was purchased in 2014 by Wisconsin-based Generac Holdings Inc. Gordon Michaelson, vice president of mobile operations, said in a statement that Generac decided to consolidate manufacturing operations, resulting in the closure of its Bismarck facility.

MAC came to Bismarck in 2010.
