MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker has appointed three new University of Wisconsin regents.

The governor's office announced Friday that he had appointed Tracey Klein, Bryan Steil and Lisa Erickson to the board.

Klein is chair of the Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren law firm's health care practice. Steil is corporate counsel at Regal Beloit Corporation, a manufacturing company, and served as a legislative assistant to U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, one of Walker's close friends. They will replace regents Chuck Pruitt and Jose Vasquez, whose terms end in May.

Erickson is currently pursuing a master's degree at UW-River Falls. She previously owned Wild Chow Catering, a private catering company. She will replace Regent Nic Harsy as the nontraditional student on the board. Harsy's term ends in May.
