AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — General Motors Financial Company Inc. plans to build a $20 million servicing center in San Antonio in a project creating nearly 500 jobs.

Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday announced the expansion plan by GM Financial, supported by a $2.5 million grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund.

Construction is expected to start next year on the 100,000-square-foot facility. Completion is projected for early 2017.

GM Financial is based in Fort Worth. It's the captive finance company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Motors Co.
