Baldor Electric Company (Fort Smith, Ark.) has introduced its line of Dodge ER-Style ball bearings, which are available in two shaft attachment methods. The set screw version has a 65° set screw angle for better shaft grip, while the D-Lok product uses a clamp collar grip to minimize vibration. Both employ a snap-ring retention to security fit the outer diameter onto the application at hand. They set screw is offered in ranges from ¾” bore size to 3-7/16”, while the D-LOk style comes in ¾” bore size to 2-7/16”. Both feature the company’s Dodge ProGuard seal and flinger package to prevent contamination in dirty applications. The company says that with these improvements in mind, the bearings are ideal for material and unit handling, conveying equipment, and paper or printing machinery.
