High Voltage Reed Sensors

Standex-Meder Electronics announces the MK30 series of high voltage reed sensors for high voltage surface mount applications including electronic PCBs, medical devices, electric vehicles, white goods, industrial applications and more.

Standex-Meder Electronics announces the MK30 series of high voltage reed sensors. Magnetically operated, these sensors feature an over-molded design and are hermetically sealed for excellent internal protection. Supplied in tape and reel according to IEC 286/part 3 and suitable for auto pick and place, they measure only 22.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 mm with no external circuit requirements. These sensors are suitable for all high voltage surface mount applications including electronic PCBs, medical devices, electric vehicles, white goods, industrial applications and more. The MK30 comes in contact form 1A, with a rated power of 0-100 W. It features a switching voltage of 0-1000 VDC and a switching current of up to 1 Amp. The sensor additionally has a carry current of 2.5 Amps, and has an available operating range of 15-50 AT. It is RoHS compliant and, like many Standex-Meder reed products, is tested to ensure long life. There are two lead versions of the MK30 available, Gull-Wing and straight leads. With their different sensitivities and lead-layouts they can be adjusted to several magnets and PCBs. All versions feature a low contact resistance and have no external power requirements.
