Alpharetta, Ga. (Manufacturing.net) — Intelligrated today announced its plans to expand its southern operations, based out of Alpharetta, Ga., into a new 54,000-square-foot facility that will accommodate staff from both Intelligrated and Knighted. The company says the expansion has been planned ahead of expected growth within the region.
Cost details of the new facility, and hiring plans, if any are in the works, were not disclosed.
The company says the new office will offer increased expansion space for solution development specialists, project managers, software and quality engineers, sales and technical training and support. A new software testing area will help the company produce more, and more effective, material handling solutions and software. The company says the Georgia facility will become a “center of excellence” in its ongoing technology developments.
Chris Cole, the CEO of Intelligrated, said, “The move is part of Intelligrated’s continued focus to meet the increasing demand for innovative automated material handling solutions and fulfillment execution software. The new space is designed to bring our teams together and enhances our ability to provide integrated solutions that combine Knighted software with Intelligrated automation.”
