(Manufacturing.net) — APEM, Inc., has announced that APEM Components, Inc., and CH Products have merged, effective April 1, 2013. The company says that with the merger in place, the companies will be able to combine APEM’s well-known switches and LED indicators with the respected industrial joysticks and Hall effect control devices made by CH Products. The merger will also allow for more collaboration and innovation in man-machine interface products, with the addition of products such as membrane switch panels, panel-mount LED indicators and industrial joysticks.
APEM, currently headquartered in Haverhill, Mass., has been manufacturing miniature and industrial switches since 1952. Currently, they offer switches in a variety of styles, such as pushbutton, rocker, slide, snap-action, DIP and more. Beyond that, the company creates industrial controls, joysticks, LED indicators, membrane switches and switch panel assemblies.
Beginning July 1, 2013, APEM, Inc. will have a single ERP system at both its Haverhill, Mass. Facility and the CH Products plant in Vista, Calif. This will allow customers to order all the company’s products from one location and receive support from the nearest factory. A single quality system and website will also make purchasing easier.
