Sales To Mobile Web Offering Now Available For On-premise And Cloud

xTuple, makers of the world’s No.1 open source Enterprise Resource Planning software, has announced the immediate availability of its newest product release, version 4.1 of xTuple accounting, Corporate Relationship Management (CRM) and ERP.

NORFOLK, VA â€“ xTuple, makers of the world’s No.1 open source Enterprise Resource Planning software, has announced the immediate availability of its newest product release, version 4.1 of xTuple accounting, Corporate Relationship Management (CRM) and ERP.

xTuple ERP 4.1 integrates an open source business intelligence (BI) suite with the Mobile Web client, including deep-dive sales analytics capability from the Pentaho BI community edition, and simple graphical dashboards for several modules. xTuple ERP 4.1 also adds the Sales module to the Mobile Web client, joining CRM and Project modules; major enhancements to manufacturing time clock management; simplified order entry for distribution users; and hundreds of minor bug fixes and other enhancements.

For the first time, the next-generation Mobile Web solution – which runs on any modern tablet or smartphone â€“ is also now available for on-premise xTuple installations as well as the xTuple Cloud service. While the source code for the Mobile Web solution has been, and always will be, available for free download, xTuple now offers a simplified service to install the full solution on-site for any user with a current xTuple installation.

According to research by Gartner, Inc., the world's leading information technology advisory company, mobility in ERP will increase end-user productivity by at least 15 percent and enable faster decision-making through access to real-time ERP data.

“xTuple users have the best of both worlds,” said CEO Ned Lilly. “Office-based users can continue to use the award-winning Desktop client, while more mobile users will be able to use increasingly more of the application on their tablets and phones. With the addition of the Sales module to the already-released CRM, mobile users can now develop sales prospects, issue a quote, and convert the quote to an actual sales order in the ERP back home – all while having access to the full complement of customer information, such as credit status and historical sales. And the integrated BI tools provide instant access to key performance indicators (KPIs) of company performance for the executive on-the-go."

The new release continues xTuple’s tradition of delivering innovation in customer choice and flexibility, and breaking down walls between product categories. xTuple ERP is available on-site, in xTuple’s public cloud, or in the customer’s choice of private cloud environments – and is fully portable from one deployment to another. Customers can choose a perpetual or subscription style license, and run the software on their choice of technology on the desktop (Windows, Mac, Linux) or mobile (Android, Apple iOS, Windows, Blackberry). The integration of BI capabilities into an ERP offering also recalls an earlier innovation – xTuple (then known as OpenMFG) was one of the first ERP vendors to offer fully-integrated CRM as part of the core solution (https://www.xtuple.com/about/press/xTuple-Upgrades-Open-Source-Based-ERP-Solution).
