Carbon-Based Pleated Filters

NanoCeram® activated carbon filters are capable of removing small particles, bacteria and virus from water at high flow rates, using the principal of electrostatic attraction and adsorption. The filters have received many awards including the 2005 Hall of Fame award from the Space Foundation. A new design incorporates the filters’ powder-activated carbon infused filter media which is pleated around a carbon block center core.

This foul-resistant filter allows the carbon block to more fully utilize its total chlorine adsorption capacity as the NanoCeram-PAC media helps to prevent foulants from reaching the carbon block surface. These filters are capable of removing a wide range of soluble and insoluble contaminants as compared to most water filter systems where the sediment and activated carbon stages are separate and often require separate housings.
