North Dakota State University Gets Food Safety Grant

The state's congressional delegation says North Dakota State University is getting a $148,000 federal grant for food safety research.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) β€” The state's congressional delegation says North Dakota State University is getting a $148,000 federal grant for food safety research.

The delegation says the money comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The money will be used by university researchers to improve methods of destroying salmonella in low-moisture foods that are vacuum steam pasteurized.
