Interpower Ramps Up Medical Cord Production for Ventilators

Cord set demand for medical equipment has continued to increase dramatically through April.

Interpower has increased production of electrical cords and cord sets used on medical equipment, ventilators in particular.

According to a local news report, the Iowa-based manufacturer recently noticed an uptick in orders.

Three weeks ago, the company received an order for 1,000 ventilator cords.

Company President Bob Wersen knew it was time for his company to ramp up production.

Mike Boyle, vice president of manufacturing and logistics, says Interpower’s facility in Lamoni, Iowa has experienced a 350% increase in production.

According to Wersen, cord set demand for medical equipment has continued to increase dramatically through April.

He says most cords will be used in ventilators, and help save lives around the world.

Interpower has been making cords for medical applications for the better part of twenty years.
