China Tries to Ease Food Safety Fears

Amid ongoing food safety scandals in China, nations that import the country's products are growing uneasy. The U.S. Foreign Affairs Committee has heard testimony that China's poor human rights record contributes significantly to the low quality of goods produced there. In an attempt to ease concerns, China has introduced new food safety controls.
