VIDEO: Cheese Ban Hits Seattle

Sorry cheese lovers, but there will be no cheeseburgers or cheese and crackers for you tomorrow; at least not in the Seattle area. The city manager of Bainbridge Island in Kitsap County, Washington, has installed a ban on cheese consumption or possession. Find out why!

If you enjoy eating cheeseburgers, cheese and crackers or any other cheesy foods, I've got news for you.

With the upcoming NFC Championship game of the Seattle Seahawks versus the Green Bay Packers, Seattle has installed a ban on all cheese consumption and possession. But just for one day on January 16.

And no, I'm not kidding.

Douglas Schulze, the city manager of the City of Bainbridge Island in Kitsap County, Washington, installed a ban on cheese in anticipation of this weekend's game against the Green Bay Packers.

The best part about the ban is Schulze even passed along an official executive order to explain his decision.

Part of the order states:

On Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, the Seattle Seahawks opponent in the NFC Championship game will be the Green Bay Packers, a.k.a Cheeseheads. Fans of the Green Bay Packers are frequently seen wearing obnoxious wedge-shaped hats painted yellow.

Take a look at this video by ESPN to catch the full executive order.
