SpillTech (Alpharetta, GA) now offers the EcoTech Rolls, which are eco-friendly, cellulose blend mats to soak up machine leaks or overspray. They are made from 75 percent recycled newsprint to help keep a facility green, and they can absorb up to 16 times their own weight in liquids. According to the company, they are fire retardant for added safety, when the mat is exposed to heat. They are perforated every 19” horizontally and 15” vertically so users can tear off only what they need. The rolls can also be incerated after use to reduce waste, which reduces the amount of materials a facility sends to landfills.
