Homer City Automation announces the introduction of Champion Drives, a new line of electromagnetic linear drives designed to feed bulk 
material to manufacturing, packaging, blending and weighing applications. The drives are equipped with an electromagnetic coil, which enables the drives to handle 4 times the trough weight in material, and maintain stable feed rates under variable head load and voltage fluctuations. They can achieve feed rates up to 75 feet per minute and strokes up to .090”. The open style design allows for easy access to the springs and coil, which reduces installation time and allows for easy cleaning. The optional stainless steel drive, with a nickel-plated coil and armature, offers an increased level of corrosion resistance for applications in harsher environments.
