Elkhart, Indiana — Thor Industries is planning expansion projects at two recreational vehicle factories in northern Indiana.
Thor Industries says the projects will boost production at its Heartland RV plant in Elkhart and for its Keystone subsidiary in Goshen.
Thor officials say it is spending $8 million on the Heartland expansion and expects to add 85 jobs there.
The Elkhart Truth reports Heartland has doubled its sales over the past five years, selling nearly 7,200 vehicles in the United States during the first half of this year.
Work has started on a new $6 million plant in Goshen for Keystone's travel trailer production.
Thor Industries president Bob Martin tells the South Bend Tribune the new factory could have about 100 workers when it opens.
