SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California is recalling raw whole milk produced by Organic Pastures Dairy of Fresno County.
The California Department of Food and Agriculture announced Friday bacteria was found in a routine product inspection at the dairy facility. Health officials are urging retailers and consumers to discard any remaining raw milk with a code date of October 24th.
No illnesses have been reported.
According to the state Department of Public Health, symptoms of campylobacteriosis can include diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever. Most people infected recover completely, though it can be a serious, life-threatening infection for anyone with a compromised immune system.
