The American Meat Institute (AMI) and other industry groups are working hard to block new meat labeling rules that would require country of origin to be printed on labels. A federal judge has refused to block the new rules, but the groups have vowed to keep fighting.

The American Meat Institute (AMI) and other industry groups are working hard to block new meat labeling rules that would require country of origin to be printed on labels. A federal judge has refused to block the new rules, but the groups have vowed to keep fighting. AMI President and CEO J. Patrick Boyle said in a statement,

"We disagree strongly with the court's decision and believe that several aspects of the ruling are susceptible to challenge."
