Grain Lower, Livestock Higher

Grain futures were mostly lower Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade, with wheat and oats unchanged. Beef and pork were reported higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and agricultural live cattle was 1.20 cents higher at $1.4250 a pound.

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were mostly lower Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery was unchanged at 6.1825 a bushel; July corn was 13 cents lower at 4.46 a bushel; July oats were unchanged at 3.5675 a bushel; while July soybeans were 4 cents lower at 14.53 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Aug live cattle was 1.20 cents higher at $1.4250 a pound; Aug feeder cattle was 1.78 cents higher at 2.0230 a pound; July lean hogs gained 1.13 cents to $1.2610 a pound.
