The Obama administration has released newly updated plans for keeping invasive Asian Carp from reaching key fishing locations in the Great Lakes. The plan calls for reinforcing electrical barriers as well as testing newer methods to block entry.

The Obama administration has released newly updated plans for keeping invasive Asian Carp from reaching key fishing locations in the Great Lakes. The plan calls for reinforcing electrical barriers as well as testing newer methods to block entry. John Goss of the White House Council on Environmental Quality said,

"This strategy continues our aggressive effort to bolster our tools to keep Asian carp out of the Great Lakes while we work toward a long-term solution."
